Guest Guidelines

Reservations
A credit card or gift card is required to reserve Spa services longer than one hour and hair color services. At the time of scheduling please disclose any health conditions or allergies that may affect your experience.

Cancellation Notice
We appreciate you coming to Ghent barbers for all your barbering needs, however no-call-no-shows no only affect your barber’s income, it also keeps them from taking a walk-in while they wait for an appointment that isn’t coming. If you have to cancel your appointment, we don’t mind. We understand sometimes things come up or you get help up for some reason, but please call the shop at 757-627-5253, text your provider (if you’re able to), or message us via email or our social media pages so that your barber can try and fill the spot or take a walk-in. Repeated no-call-no-shows will result in you no longer being able to book appointments or being required to make a deposit before booking. Thank you for taking the time to read and understand this.  Reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid incurring a 50% service charge, while missed appointments will incur a 100% service charge.

Arrival
We recommend that our guests arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to their first salon or spa service to allow adequate changing and relaxation time. In the event of a late arrival, please understand that each reservation is scheduled precisely and will end on time. While not always feasible, we do strive to accommodate the unexpected while not delaying or effecting the following guest’s services.

Attire
Spa guests are provided with complimentary use of bathrobes and sandals. Our spa professionals are trained in proper draping to ensure your modesty is respected at all times. We do not recommend wearing any jewelry during services.

Payment
We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. All prices are subject to change without prior notice. Series are available for any service we offer; purchase 5 of any one service and receive the 6th complimentary. We honor our teachers, students, military and senior guest 10% off any one service.

While gratuity is left to your discretion, it may only be left in cash or check.

Gift Cards
Available for any dollar amount. Gift cards may be purchased in-store, by phone, or online. They are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. The gift card must be presented at the time of redemption.

Grooming Lounge
All salon and spa products used during your treatments are available for purchase for your continued use at home.  Recreate your experience or find a unique gift in our grooming lounge.

Quality of Service and Products
If we fail to meet your expectations at any time, we encourage you to let us know. Products may be returned, with moderate use, within 10 days of purchase for salon credit only. Due to health regulations, we cannot accept a return on hair brushes and shaving tools and accessories.

The Sound of Silence
For the consideration of others and to preserve our ambiance of peace and tranquility we request that noise be kept to a minimum. Our spa is an adult environment. The minimum age for men’s haircuts is 13. The minimum age requirement for body and skin treatments is 18, unless accompanied by a guardian.
